4 Ingredient Chocolate Pudding

I have been an active baker for a while now. There's not a day when there isn't a cake in the house. Since I keep trying new recipes, it's not necessary that the cake turns out good in the first attempt. What do you do if you end up with a dry cake, or a crumbly one or imagine a power failure while the cake is still baking and you are left with an under-cooked one!!!
So here's my solution to convert a disastrous cake to an absolutely yummy chocolate pudding. It's an easy, quick and 4 ingredient pudding that, I can guarantee, will be loved by everyone you serve it to.

Ingredients:
Any cake of approximately 400 -500 gms
Milk - 700 ml + 4tbsp
Granulated sugar - 4-5 tbsp (also depends on the sweetness of the cake)
Custard Powder - 2 tbsp
Cocoa Powder - 1 tbsp
Cashew Nuts - 1 tbsp (chopped) (optional)

Method:
1. In a saucepan, heat milk. Add sugar and let it simmer.
2. In a small bowl, put custard powder and cocoa powder. Add 4 tbsp of milk and mix until no lumps are left.
3. Add the custard mix to the hot milk and keep stirring until the milk thickens just so much that it is of pourable consistency. Remove from flame. This is the chocolate custard. It shouldn't be too thick or the cake will not absorb the custard.
4. Take a flat bottomed serving dish. Crush the cake with your hands and spread it on the bottom of the dish.
5. Pour the hot chocolate custard evenly over the cake crumbs.
6. Once the pudding has cooled down, garnish with chopped cashew nuts.
7. Serve chilled.
